Frequently asked questions
Yes. All sessions are governed by strict professional confidentiality standards. Nothing you share will be disclosed without your explicit consent. The only exceptions are narrow situations required by law — such as an immediate, credible risk of serious harm to yourself or others. We will always discuss confidentiality with you in your first session so there are no surprises.
Your first session is an initial assessment — a relaxed, conversational meeting where we get to know you, understand your situation, and hear what you are hoping for from counseling. There is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with. By the end, we will agree on a plan that feels right for you — including session frequency, goals, and the approach that best fits your needs.
This varies significantly from person to person and depends on what you are working through. Some clients benefit from a focused course of 6–8 sessions; others find ongoing support more helpful over a longer period. We review your progress with you regularly and never recommend continuing beyond what is genuinely useful. You are always in control of when you feel ready to conclude.
Absolutely. We offer secure online therapy sessions to clients across Kenya and internationally. Availability may depend on your location, service suitability, and applicable professional requirements. All you need is a device with a camera and a private, comfortable space. Online sessions provide exactly the same quality of care as in-person appointments — many clients actually prefer the convenience and privacy of their own environment.
